Hewlett Packard:
Connect has worked successfully in
partnership with Hewlett
Packard on a range of activities for
many years. 1992 marked
the beginning of our partnership with
the launch of the highly
successful Internet archive of
public-domain software - a
project that Connect established for
Hewlett Packard and
continues to manage and develop
through support from them.
Having worked together on a variety of
projects from
community-focused activities through
to training programmes,
Hewlett Packard continues to be a
valuable strategic partner
for Connect.
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council:
Connects partnership with Knowsley
Metropolitan Borough
Council began in 1997 when both
organisations were partners
in the successful Capital Challenge
bid to establish the
Community Information Programme in
Knowsley. One of the
main aims of the programme was to
provide for the electronic
delivery of council information and
services. The success of
this work is widely recognised - the
Knowsley website has won
several major awards including the
Global Bangemann
Challenge 1999 (Local Government
section). Knowsley Council
and Connect continue to work on a
range of Internet-related
projects with Knowsley providing a
valuable forum for piloting
Connects local government solutions.
Telewest:
Connect and Telewest have worked
together on a number of
projects to provide
Internet access at various venues in the
Merseyside
region. One such project - the
Connect-to-Libraries
community access centres run by Connect
- provides services
to individuals and businesses in the
local area.
Other Partners
Connect has also worked in partnership
with a range of service
organisations to provide the technical
expertise that
complements their strengths. For
example, if you are one of
the growing number of design agencies
now offering web
design as part of your portfolio,
Connect can provide the
technical input that will enable you to
deliver the more
sophisticated, yet cost effective
Internet solutions required by
your clients. We can also provide
services that will add value to
your portfolio - from registering your
clients site with the
major search engines, to providing a
professional hosting
service. Connect can also work with
Internet Service Providers
to extend the portfolio of services
they offer their business
customers. If you are interested in

work in partnership with your
